DEF is a member of the Gainesville Chamber of Commerce.  David was a member of Gainesville Rotary for 12 years and is on The Medal of Honor Host City Program Board.  David and his wife Angela are also supporters of Boys and Girls Club, Zoological Society, Cowboys for Casa, Noah Ark, Gainesville Rodeo Association, Cook County Livestock Show, Herkey's Champion Buyers Club, Valley View FFA, and Denton County Livestock Association
